The ground has many perforations which makes this insert great steaming vegetables. Also included is a wire trivet with a purpose to elevate the insert above what is within the bottom of your pot. The collapsible care for at the insert allows for simple lifting from cooker. Measures 8-3/4-inch in diameter. Dishwasher protected.
